# KolWrite API pricing

> Canonical rate card for the KolWrite speech-to-text API at https://app.kolwrite.com. Last updated 2026-10-08. If another page shows a different number, this file and https://console.kolwrite.com/models win.

- Billing unit: the usage credit. 1 credit = US$1.20 for accounts billed in USD, unless separate order terms apply.
- Metering: per second of audio, no minimum charge, charged per job.
- Regular speaker diarization: included (0.00 credits).
- Pro speaker diarization (`pro_diarization`): +0.20 credits per audio hour (US$0.24).
- Standard channel separation: included. Overlap channel separation: the model rate for the greater of the recording length or the total detected speech across its channels.
- Credits are bought in the API account (https://console.kolwrite.com/auth); checkout shows the final amount, taxes and currency before payment.

Worked examples (US$ at 1.20/credit):

- 10 hours of clear audio on `base`: 10 × 0.40 = 4.00 credits = US$4.80.
- 60 minutes on `oracle` with translation to English: 1.20 credits = US$1.44.
- 30 minutes on `oracle_max` with Pro diarization: 0.5 × (3.00 + 0.20) = 1.60 credits = US$1.92.
