## What to know about Indonesian transcription

- Indonesian and Malay are close but have their own codes: `id` for Indonesian and `ms` for Malay. Choose by the variety your speakers use.
- Informal Indonesian (bahasa gaul) and regional languages such as Javanese (`jw`) or Sundanese (`su`) mix into everyday speech. Send the language that dominates.
- Reduplicated words are written with a hyphen (anak-anak). Keep hyphens when you tokenize.
