## What to know about Portuguese transcription

- One code, `pt`, covers Brazil, Portugal, Angola and Mozambique. Brazilian and European pronunciation differ a lot; test with your audience's accent.
- Spelling differs slightly between Brazil and Portugal (for example "facto/fato"). There is no spelling option; normalize in post-processing if needed.
- Portuguese speakers often borrow English tech terms. Send `pt` explicitly on mixed recordings.
