## What to know about Thai transcription

- Thai is written without spaces between words; spaces mark phrase or sentence breaks. Timed units may not match dictionary words, so cut subtitles by time.
- For search or keyword spotting, run a Thai word segmenter on the transcript first.
- Thai speech uses polite particles (ครับ, ค่ะ) that appear in the transcript as spoken.
