## Subtitles in the spoken language

```json
{
  "audio_url": "https://cdn.example.com/episodes/142.mp3",
  "model": "oracle",
  "include_diarization": true,
  "output_format": "srt"
}
```

## Translated subtitles

Oracle models translate in the same job. Run one job per target language.

```json
{
  "audio_url": "https://cdn.example.com/episodes/142.mp3",
  "model": "oracle",
  "language": "en",
  "translate_to": "es",
  "output_format": "srt"
}
```

## Podcasts and show notes

- `include_diarization` labels hosts and guests; set `num_speakers` when you know it.
- JSON word timings let editors cut audio by text.
- Plain text (`txt`) is ready for show notes, articles and search.

## Check before you publish

- Review names, lyrics and brand names.
- Right-to-left subtitles (Hebrew, Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Yiddish) need a player with bidirectional text support.
- Music-heavy or noisy segments transcribe worse; use `oracle_max` for difficult audio.

## Questions and answers

### How much do subtitles for a one-hour episode cost?

US$1.44 on `oracle`, or US$0.48 on `base` for clean speech.

### Can I get subtitles in several languages?

Yes, one job per target language with `translate_to` on an Oracle model.

### Does the API burn subtitles into video?

No. It returns SRT text; your video tool or player displays it.
